The day, in order
- Morning
Give the shrine a quiet start
Use Meiji Jingu, reached from the Harajuku side, as the main visit. The wooded approach is part of the experience, not lost time on the way to the next photo.
- Lunch
A slower stop around Harajuku
Pick food and a place to sit before deciding how much shopping you want. Busy streets can take more attention than the map suggests.
- Afternoon
Continue toward Shibuya Optional
Use the Harajuku and Shibuya part of the route as the change of scene. Make a browsing district the goal instead of booking several timed attractions.
- Evening
Watch the crossing, then choose dinner Optional
Enjoy the street-level setting without assuming you need to buy a view from above. If you want a deck visit, treat it as a separate booking decision.
Make it lighter
Keep the first area and the meal break. The optional afternoon and evening sections can be removed; you do not need to hurry through everything to have a complete day.
If the weather changes
Keep the shrine visit short if conditions are uncomfortable. Replace the later outdoor browsing with one nearby indoor stop you have checked, rather than crossing Tokyo for a new list.
Check before leaving
Consult Meiji Jingu's current visitor information and respect signs about photography. The crossing itself does not require an observation-deck ticket.
